Meesh Lam , also known by their Chinese name Shuhua, is a Chinese American lesbian illustrator with a focus on character illustration, story, and sequential art. They are currently a third year illustration student at Moore College of Art & Design.
Themes in their work tend to consider aspects such as identity, drama, and their experiences being a queer Asian American living in current society.
Even though Meesh has been drawing since they were able to hold a pencil, their creative journey really took form during their early teenage years, where they had spent most of their free time creating illustrations for other people.
They later on became one of the social media managers for their high school’s Newspaper Club in addition to writing and editing articles. They also participated in dual enrollment classes at Pennsylvania College of Art & Design during their senior year of high school.
In their free time, Meesh loves playing video games, watching movies and TV, listening to music, and collecting silly trinkets!

Meet Herbert!
Funny little guy who is my mascot that you may or may not have seen on my business cards! He is but a little critter from middle of nowhere and is wanted in several states for… several reasons! Some are not even related to him at all.
Anyway, you will see him on a lot more of my stuff so stay tuned!
